It's a great town with many interesting shops and places to eat and drink. It has a good vibe about the place. We found an excellent French cafe/restaurant which was very good . Marlborough is charming.
Marlborough is charming. A good choice of places to eat for both full meals and for coffee & cake. I enjoyed browsing and buying from the large selection of quality shops - especially ladies' wear, brands not seen on my local high street but usually found in bigger cities. Parking was available to us as we arrived on a Saturday evening and the town centre parking charges stop at 6pm and don't apply on Sunday. The room was clean and well prepared. As the pub is in a very old building the floor was far from level, which added to the charm. However, the stairs were narrow and steep - so would be a struggle for some. Located in the centre of Marlborough, our room was cosy and facing the back so very quiet. The property has been brilliantly refurbished so the decoration is functional and pleasant.
