This is a fairly remote location with spectacular scenery, both at the hotel and close by. Apart from nature (and the great food and drink in the hotel) there is not a lot to do. So relaxing is part of the power of the place. Wander around and watch the odd fisherman leave the quay and go out to their fishing boat. Watch the water and sky change at a moments notice. We were there in February so the whole area was relatively quiet, touring the island was easy from there.

Breakfast each day was superb. The choice was huge and the quality truly great. We stayed four days; I had something different every day and enjoyed everything. The hotel was beautifully decorated and arriving in the dark to such a sight was very memorable! The staff are simply superb, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The lounge and dining room had fires lit day and night (there is nothing worse than a hotel where they don't light the fires!) and candles and music added to the festive atmosphere.

We had the most amazing stay and loved every minute. We were made to feel so welcome by all staff and nothing was too much trouble. The food and wine in the evening was incredible and the breakfast was great. The house and it's surroundings are just beautiful. It was one of the stops on our honeymoon and we were made to feel very special throughout our stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. It was definitely the best hotel we stayed in on our trip, so thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable.
