We did not see a lot of the town, which has a long history. There are some interesting and beautiful places to visit within easy reach: National Trust places to recommend are Hughenden Manor, Cliveden, and Greys Court. Other places are The Chiltern Hills, the Coombe Hill Monument, The Hell-Fire Caves and many more. We booked the Hampton by Hilton for location as it’s 10 minutes drive from Buckinghamshire new university, or 40 minute walk, The Eden shopping centre is 5 minutes in the car with plenty of cafes ,shops and cinema and games arcade and bowling arcade, There are more shops and pubs outside the shopping centre where there is a Wetherspoons pub and a few other pubs and clubs Lots to do in the area, would definitely recommend for university moving in weekend.Guest review byKathrynUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was a lovely little town that felt almost sea side like. Everyone we interacted with were friendly and there were some really great food and drink options. A day trip to Marlow was also great, as was the park with the National Trust house. High Wycombe has one redeeming feature, you get to leave it.

We booked it as it was near Legoland but we also ended up doing a sightseeing tour in London. We were a 10-minute walk from the High Wycombe train station which had a direct line to Marylebone Station. There was a hop-on on hop-off station, at Marylebone so actually a perfect place for that too! It was fine for what we needed - ie bed and breakfast near the centre. A good amount of parking was great; bedrooms on a riased ground floor very convenient; a good choice at breakfast; staff pleasant and helpful. Easy to walk in 10 mins to a range of restaurants for supper.
