We were greeted by the friendliest staff. The room (Piglet) was clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfy we had slept on in 7 weeks and 22 hotels of road tripping. Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was outstanding and breakfast and friendly staff in the morning made for a great start to the day. Totally recommend.

Really lovely hotel with great spa facilities in beautiful grounds. Would be a fantastic place to get married. Had a nice relaxing 2-day break there and wish we could have stayed longer. Not cheap but good value considering what a beautiful place it is. Onsite charging for our electric car was good. Flat charge of £12

Loved every bit, the family room was spacious, warm, really large bathroom, all the staff were excellent, authentic, historical old building, cute pub area, excellent food, was just as good as we had hoped for. Will definitely revisit when back in the UK.

We picked the Roebuck for our final 6 days in England because of its convenient location for touring as well as being near Gatwick for our departure. Excellent choice. It was convenient and so much more. The staff are friendly and cheerful. Our 5 days trips were so easy, down to the coast, motorway to Chatham, local gardens and walks, and a lovely country drive to Surrey. Returning each day to a pleasant relaxing pub was perfect. The drive to Gatwick on our final morning was quick and easy. We highly recommend this Inn.

Romantic getaway within easy reach from London. Lots to see nearby. Very quiet at night. Good heating. Good breakfast. Good bed. Fantastic to have the bathtub in the room. Would happily return!

    Hartfield is a lovely village and close to many interesting places. It is closely connected to the author AA Milne and has lovely walks and a Pooh Bear teashop/museum. The Anchor pub is a great place to stay right in the heart of the village. Recommended.

    Nice little village but the main street is a busy cut...

    Nice little village but the main street is a busy cut through for traffic. although this did not affect the pleasure of our stay. We did walk around village through church and back to main road where we found the A.A. Milne Pooh shop and info which enabled us to visit nearby Pooh bridge on route to Tunbridge Wells, this was not planned or known about, so a bonus.

    Good room in a clean, airy and picturesque pub with plenty...

    Good room in a clean, airy and picturesque pub with plenty of parking and outside space and excellent evening food. Very close to the original Pooh sticks bridge in the 100 acre wood (well worth the short walk to visit it).
