Lovely welcome and shown to room. Lovely large room, all the facilities you could wish for - fridge, water, fresh milk, tea, coffee, chocolate, luxury biscuits. Comfy King Size bed, slept very well. We stayed at Spanhoe Lodge for access to Rutland Water and...
We stayed at Spanhoe Lodge for access to Rutland Water and the villages in the area. If you like walking then this is a perfect base. Before you stay in the area make sure you have planned where to eat in the evening - possibly eat at the hotel you're staying in because, apart from a few local pubs, there's not much open in the evenings.
