Lovely surprise! We stayed in room 9, spacious and looking over the park. Very quite but I presume it was because it was Sunday morning. Very clean. Reception very friendly. We didn’t use the bar or have breakfast.

I've never visited Retford before, however I'm very glad I did, especially after staying at the Elms. A warm welcome greeted me at reception, I was then shown to my lovely room which was located in buildings adjacent to the hotel. This was well laid out, clean and with a very comfy bed, as well as being far enough away so as not to be disturbed by the footfall from the hotel restaurant, which I can also highly recommend after having dinner there with guests. Breakfast was plentiful and great value for money too. Overall a great stay made even more so by genuinely friendly staff.

In a quote "Cuisinease is Home away Home" Mrs. Jacqueline was so kind that she cared us like a MUM, because we were stuck with accommodation outside and she helped us and also provided a free dinner ; where she was so kind to us and spend few hours with us, making us comfortable and not to feel lonely. In a very cheaper rate she cooked food that was so delicious! Who ever visit here should atleast ask for a time food prepared by her (never miss). The day when we went out it was raining and she gave us umbrella and also dropped us in bustop (free). Next day she took us to a letting agent and dropped there also. I highly recommend the stay over here. Never forget to have a time meal prepared by here. She is very hard working. Thanks booking.com for the booking availability which made the days here as a foot print in our life. These days can't be forgotten ever in life. Thanks Mrs. Jacqueline for caring us as our MUM. Thanks a ton.
