Really nice comfortable stay. Spacious room, nicely decorated, with a big comfortable bed and a clean, modern ensuite bathroom. Lots of options provided to make yourself a cuppa which was appreciated. Easy self check in and self check out. Lovely communicative host. A few continental breakfast items available in the room - please note the cafe downstairs (independent from the guesthouse) has pretty limited hours so early risers need not plan to eat breakfast there

The staff was really accommodating and helpful. The room was big with an amazing view. The facilities were managed very well and there were a lot of facilities like different sauna rooms, jacuzzi and an amazing pool. The morning breakfast spread was good and the breakfast was tasty. Overall an amazing experience would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. We only stayed one night so didn't make the most of all the facilities. Would loved to have sat in the beautiful gardens with afternoon tea, or a cocktail! Staff very nice, breakfast room had a lovely ambience and plenty to choose from at the buffet, as well as ordering a full English. Bedroom was very comfortable, huge double bed. We were at the front, so near the road but very little noise. Fulford is a lovely village, with local pubs, although we chose to walk into the city for dinner. Yes, we paid £15 for parking for 24 hours, no problem parking, don't know why some reviews said it was difficult. I suppose it depends on how big your car is. Every effort is made to fulfill guests' needs: iron, ironing board, fan in wardrobe. The hotel has a lot of charm and character.

The host went above & beyond to make our stay special this was a hidden gem so relaxing & had everything you needed to make our stay just perfect I will definitely stay again & would highly recommend anyone to go visit & stay the host even fed the cockreal so that I could take his picture! The place is lovely, cosy, warm and quiet. The furniture is modern and there is all you can need for your stay. Comfortable bed. Lovely garden and parking space. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. Excellent position to reach the Uni campus and less than minutes to city centre by car.
