The staff were friendly and helpful even though they were short-staffed. They really seemed to be working hard to make our stay enjoyable. the food was good --supper and breakfast. the location is convenient to the town and the castle.

Lovely room. Very clean. Good amenities in the cottage and some lovely touches which you wouldn't typically see like coffee machine and pods provided. Breakfast was excellent and excellent choices available. Staff were lovely

Spacious and newly decorated in peaceful marine tones. Separate entry so not walking through pub to get in and out of our room, more private. Close to great restaurants and pubs, had really good fish and chips at Carlos, see photos. Close to Alnwick castle where early Harry Potter movies were filmed, but go see it for the centuries of history. And watch the broom riding lessons.

We liked the size of the bathroom, the morning gown and slippers, the spa smell of the corridors and room, the bottled waters, coffee and tea, biscuits and crisps, the tv with lots of channels and the dressing table that is actually facing the light! 😊 The only thing that bothered us lightly was that the hot and cold water taps are separate instead of a mixer tap ☺️ Overall, we enjoyed our stay

    Quiet, small, rural village; lots of walks via footpaths across fields, perfect for dog walkers. Loved the castle and plenty to explore in the church too. Fantastic views! Not far from Alnwick for dog friendly shops and eateries and handy for exploring the coastline, which is beautiful. 😊
