Derwenlas is a small village on the main road between...
Derwenlas is a small village on the main road between Machylleth and Aberystwyth. It is a half hour drive to the coast and even less to start exploring the mountains and beautiful countryside around it. Less than five minutes away is the wonderful Dyfi Wildlife Centre where all summer long you can see wild ospreys on their nearby nest, amongst other things - it is well worth a visit.Guest review byMaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It was a great place to explore the area.
It was a great place to explore the area. Next time we will go on the Cambrian Railway. We ate at No 21 in Machynlleth which was very good. We enjoyed our visit to Ynys Hir RSPB site and to the Osprey centre (none there in winter). We had some beautiful drives up the valleys and would love to spend more time walking them. Artist's Valley was stunning and so were the various roads to Glaspwll. Our favourite mountain is Cader Idris so next time we come I hope my husband will manage to walk up it.Guest review byELISABETHUnited Kingdom
