Deal is such a lovely place to visit.
Deal is such a lovely place to visit. The town has a really welcoming feel, with a great mix of independent shops, cosy cafés, and a beautiful seafront that’s perfect for a stroll. One of the best things is how dog-friendly Deal is, most cafés, pubs, and even some shops are happy to welcome your four-legged friends, and there are plenty of great walks along the beach and promenade. There’s also lots of history to explore, like Deal Castle, and the pier is a real highlight. It’s just the right size to wander around without feeling rushed, and there’s always something interesting going on. A nice Town with lots of non-chain shops & restaurants. Clean & tidy _ very little graffiti & litter encountered. Nice walks along the seafront. Good bus service to Dover, Sandwich & Canterbury if required. Deal is a great place for holiday spoilt only by the long stay car parks. We found two of them which wouldn't take any of our cards or payment by phone, or answer any calls including the town council number which cut us off after being put through several times. We were told to use the station car park, same problems but the signs said there were machines in the station building, which was closed. We found a short stay car park and locals told us to park at either end of town where there is free parking, you just to drive around until you find a space, finally got one near the bandstand at Walmer about 10 minutes walk to our hotel.and leave it there for the duration, these places are one out one in (in seconds). On our way to Deal we went to Sandwich, lovely place, worth a visit, but leaving there our satnav took us down towards the sea where there is a toll road charging £5 ("it's either that or the long way round, mate") - effectively a £5 charge for entering Deal(.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Deal is just lovely, lovely beach, lovely independent shops it's a very classy seaside town, we only stayed overnight this was our second visit to deal but for short stays will hopefully visit again in the not to distant future we would love to visit the places around deal, can't recommend it highly enough , and highly recommend DunkersleysGuest review byBirch

On the 2nd floor, accessed by a narrow half-spiral staircase (quirky). Good size room, clean, comfy bed, heatpump/aircon!, fridge, good size tv, newly renovated bathroom. Friendly staff. Best equipped room we had on our whole B&B/Hotel stays around the country. 👍😎 Location on Deal waterfront opposite the Pier is excellent, with large public carpark behind the hotel.
