Wonderful historical hotel. The view across to the Pier and the North Sea was wonderful. Great to open the window and hear the waves crashing against the sea wall. I commend the Staff at the hotel. Like so many hotels and restaurants both in the U.K. and Canada, full staffing is a problem since Covid. The people at this hotel were amazing, many having to cover more than one position. They were so friendly and helpful. Would return to The Red Lion if we ever come that way again.

Ronica is a very welcoming, warm & helpful hostess. Thornybank is a bit removed from the town but that is its charm. The animals there are delightful and what could be better than having fresh laid eggs each morning as part of Ronica’s exceptional breakfasts.

Cromer was a great centre for exploring other towns and villages but equally good to remain in Cromer. The pier and the end of pier show was very entertaining. Good restaurants and shops. We couldn’t fault it

Cromer is what it is the gem of the Norfolk coast.

Cromer is what it is the gem of the Norfolk coast. Beautifully beaches seaside shows on the pier all year round. Plenty of shops, places to eat, imuding Indian Thai Chinese and English. Nice pubs. Dog friendly, surfer freindly family friendly. Just bootyful. Stayed at bakery cental a lovely apartment on outskirts of Cromer not far from golf club and on a bus route. Cromer is our happy place. Crazy golf, arcades, crabbing off the pier or rock pooling in the sun. Pretty sunken gardens to while away the day in the sun.

We always love Cromer for a quick seaside break. We saw the peregrine palcons on the church this time, through the volunteer society's telescopes - a huge bonus! The museum is compact and a great place to visit, especiall for natural history.

Lovely beach with lost of lifegaurds and a lifeboat station at the pier, so very safe for families/kids. A great range of cafes and restauarants, and almost no chains. Lovely church and some lovely coastal walks.

We visited the Cromer area to tour North Norfolk. Our stay was in high season, August, and parking was a difficulty at some of the resorts, including Cromer. We visited NT properties and quieter places, but made it to the Norfolk Broads, too.

I lived in Norfolk for 9years so i knew what i was going to. However it still suprises me and i can still find places and things i have not seen before. A visit to the Norfolk steam railway is a must. Also a visit to the cromer show is recommended fantastic show that needs support as it must be allowed to continue. Great fish and chips from Mary Janes ,and the cleanest toilets in cromer one of the local restaurants.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice on the menu. It was beautifully presented and of high quality. The hotel was well kept with a lot of additional touches to add to our comfort (we loved the idea of sherry and cake in the afternoon). Parking on site is always a useful addition. The information sent out via email before our arrival was most helpful and informative. All around we were very impressed and won’t hesitate to use the hotel again should we return to Cromer.
