I particularly enjoyed the delicious cookies offered upon arrival – a thoughtful touch that made my stay even more pleasant. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. We had a great stay in the New Inn Hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, our room was clean and spacious, and parking was good and easy. We felt very welcome, as did our dogs. We were very pleased that we were able to bring the dogs with us for a meal in the pub in the evening, and also for breakfast in the morning. The food was great, both the pub meals, as well as breakfast. The location in the town centre, by the river was perfect for us.

The Kilmarnock Inn is an amazing, family run hotel in a quaint little village. The proprietors operate the Inn and I cannot say enough about how amazing the experience was for us. The rooms are spotless, the Inn itself is SO comfortable, the area is beautiful, the food in the restaurant is outstanding. Lots of places do a good job on most things, but the Kilmarnock Inn does it all better than well. This lovely Inn is a place that I would consider making a destination location. We took public transport, but a car would be helpful as the surrounding area has lots to offer. That said, there was plenty to keep us busy.

The Smiddy Suite is located in a quiet lane off Ellon’s Main Street, bordering the River Ythan. As such it is convenient to a host of local attractions. The standard of presentation of the Suite is exceptionally high and it is appointed with a superb En-Suite and quality linen, furniture, fixings and fitments. The suite is extremely comfortable, well heated and is delightfully cosy. The hosts are warm, engaging and considerate and their attention to the guests’ needs is flawless. Communication were speedy and helpful. Local attractions include a large seal colony at Newburgh’s beach, Championship golf courses and several excellent restaurants and coffee shops. I look forward to making a return visit as soon as I sensibly can and would highly recommend ‘The Smiddy Suite’ to all discerning holidaymakers.

    Lovely relaxing cottage right next to the small beach , there is a larger beach up a small hill within the harbour, hosts made us feel very welcome we could not fault the cottage , hosts or location we had a fantastic stay
