I believe Chipping Campden to be overall the best location in the Cotswolds. It has everything you need including pubs, a cocktail bar, restaurants, shops, a small mini-market, and the high street is picturesque and atmospheric. Just a lovely little town with great access to the rest of the Cotswolds. Michael's Medittereanean restaurant was by far our favourite of the trip. We loved the local cheese and prodcue shops, visited the chapel and walked around the village. It is easy to drive or walk around, even with many tourists we managed to find parking in the centre. Friendly welcome, nice room with four-poster bed which was very comfortable. Cosy bar and cafe area with excellent hot chocolate and cake. Pub serves 2-3 real ales. Room was lovely and warm and even though we overlooked the street, it was fairly quiet (although it did snow overnight!).
