Bowness is a fabulous base to sightseeing from.
Bowness is a fabulous base to sightseeing from. It's a lovely little area of the Lake District. Very busy at times and too much traffic and not enough parking spaces. This is the third time I have been back to Bowness this year...
This is the third time I have been back to Bowness this year. I love the art shops, the clothes shops and most importantly the home made fudge. So relaxing watching the boats on the lake and geting the ferry to the other side to walk up to Hill Top. Walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, pubs and lake. The room was comfortable and clean, and the shower provided lovely hot water. Plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, and milk was provided, along with a couple of lovely cookies. Cold filtered water was available out on the landing.
