Our stay at Glendor Hotel was truly exceptional from start to finish. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile, making me feel right at home. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast spread each morning, as well as the peaceful ambiance throughout the hotel. Its convenient location made exploring the city effortless, yet the hotel still felt like a quiet retreat. I left feeling refreshed and grateful, and I would gladly return for another wonderful experience.

Great location, close to the train station and the sea, yet pleasantly quiet. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and you could make your own tea and coffee. Even more impressive was the beautiful decor, as seen in the photos. I highly recommend Hotel Rouge!

FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

We love Blackpool, Fleetwood and St Anne's, often visit the coast when we can, plenty to for for everyone if you know where to look, would definitely recommend Mr basris for a meal out, bloom bar for a nice relaxing drink or the tower dungeons for abit of spooky fun!

The piers are great, each very different. Plenty of things to do and see. Its a shame about the empty and going to ruin buildings on the golden mile and really the council should make it easier for these places to be used to their full capacity and not left to rot. The tram service and easy process to buy tickets is brilliant and we used it a lot. Lovely ride through the lights and to visit nearby places. The eating inn on the front south shore was a favourite place to eat. Lots of good things going on in Blackpool, but needs investment. If they got it right and sorted some things out it could be a goldmine place, very good for a 2 night stay, that would be my recommend stay time

We have stayed in Blackpool many times over the years and have always enjoyed our time there but now it is really run down and a bit sleazy. We only stopped for two nights on our way home from staying further South but left after one night. We have now decided never to return.

Always liked Blackpool, mostly for the pleasure beach though, it can be costly if you don't want to spend all day queueing, and annoying that despite the park opening at 10, the ride we mostly go for does not open until at least 1.30 (this is the earliest I have known it open, sometimes its been 3.00. Local parking is also quite expensive, its almost cheaper to stay somewhere locally overnight with free parking, at least then you can enjoy a pint and a nice breakfast the next day.

We use to visit Blackpool when our children were young, myself and my son decided to go back and relive some memories. Wow what has happened the council need to start generateing funds into the place. Help get those buildings and guest houses sorted. We were so shocked really disappointing not half the place it used to be . What is the point if a multi-storey car park parking didn’t seem to an issue it’s all the run down buildings real shame .

This hotel is an absolute gem and such good value for money. The hotel itself is immaculate and clean, plenty of room in the bedrooms which were also spotlessly clean. The staff are brilliant and so helpful We paid for the breakfast, it was a great breakfast, and there’s a coffee machine you’re free to use for the entirety of the stay. We went down with a large group of family and it was a great place to relax, with the bar and the pool table. Best hotel I’ve stayed in at Blackpool by a mile

Staff always welcomed you with a smile and asked if anything was required. We stayed 9 nights £333 ( family of 4 ) and room was clean and tidy with coffee/tea facilties. Ensuite with shower. Location is excellent less than 5 mins walk from the blackpool tower and local shops. Fresh towels for the asking. If u want left to yourself and no fuss this is the place for you. If you want pampered and doted on pay for a more expensive hotel. To rest your head at night and prime location and cheap this is fine.

This hotel is wonderful, Wendy keeps a spotlessly clean hotel with parking, cosy rooms and a beautifully cooked breakfast each morning. Our family of 5 was welcomed by Wendy and felt cared for throughout our stay. The hotel is in a wonderful quiet location with Pleasure Beach and South Pier seconds away and a tram stop across street to help you venture Blackpool. Would highly recommend and will hopefully stay again.

A nice location on seafront . Hotel had an air of fading elegance with some lovely features downstairs. A very good choice for breakfast hot/cold at the self service buffet and you could eat as much as you wanted. Comfortable bed. Nice to have a bath to soak legs after walking around Blackpool all day.
