We chose Berkeley because it was just a short drive from...
We chose Berkeley because it was just a short drive from Slimbridge, so it was very convenient. Getting to Gloucester is also easy and this is well worth a visit for the Cathedral, shops and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Around the docks is very interesting and there is the Outlet Centre there. As it was winter and the Castle was not open we did not visit Berkeley Castle but in the summer this would also be on the list of attractions.Guest review byValerieUnited Kingdom

The location was excellent for our purposes which was a wedding at Berkeley Castle. The facilities were excellent with all possible equipment provided. The bed was very comfortable. The cottage was well heated. Upon arrival a bottle of Prosecco and scones with jam and clotted cream were available together with fresh milk and orange juice. It's a great location for walking to the castle. I had a very generously sized room and the most delicious breakfast! Although the hotel and location were great my absolute favourite thing was the staff - everyone was so kind, warm and welcoming.
