A lovely, classic Lancashire (Yorkshire) market town, with plenty of things to do, places to eat & drink. The Music & Arts centre always has some excellent bands playing, which was the reason for our visit. The market square, was great, with plenty of open air seating, that allowed you to take your food / drinks from any of the available vendors. Alma Cliffe was an elegant home away from home. The house is beautifully decorated & immaculately kept. The hosts were special people asking if there was anything we needed. It was simply "Ask & you shall receive.!" Nothing was too much trouble & it was obvious that our comfort was of the utmost importance. I can't be terribly helpful about Barnoldswick as I was...
I can't be terribly helpful about Barnoldswick as I was visiting friends at the Lower Park Marina, but the town itself has some lovely shops and cafes and plenty of available parking. Just down the road at Colne there is the Boundary outlet with all of the top name shops to browse. Internet easy to load and a good signal, given the location. Weather was awesome, the people of Barnoldswick are friendly and excelled our stay even more. Visited Skipton and Grassington, food was fantastic and the cottage had everything.
