Arundel is beautiful with plenty of cafes, tea rooms, pubs, and restaurants. The art trail happened to be on whilst we were there, and although not our thing, it appeared to be very good. There was an open-air tribute act to ABBA too at night which appeared to be very well organised with a really fantastic atmosphere. Arundel castle is probably the best property I have visited, perhaps along with Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. Although the ticket entrance is pricey it was well worth it. A lot of history, beautiful rooms and private chapel. Walled garden is well kept. The cathedral is also worth a visit, very Impressive to look at. Lovely, pretty, small town with cosy pubs and surrounded by beautiful, walkable countryside. The staff were very friendly, especially the lady at breakfast, and the breakfast itself was great. We weren't expecting the rooms to be so good, the only ones left were 'Small' and 'Cosy,' but both were absolutely fine for two people and had great amenities - lovely coffee, nice toiletries, and delicious chocolates. Its a nice hotel with the usual facilities of a travel inn type hotel, 24 hour check in is always useful when arriving late. Room was comfortable and spacious. It was quite close to Arundel with only a short drive to the town from the hotel. Arundel is a small town and the hotel is right in the centre. The Castle is two minutes away, if you walk via the car park. The car park was almost full, but we got a spot. £6.
