This was just an overnight stop for us to break our journey.
This was just an overnight stop for us to break our journey. The hotel is excellent with exceptional staff. The service in the restaurant is top notch. We cannot comment on the Spa facilities as we did not use them but what we saw of the facilities made us wish we were staying longer so perhaps we will return at sometime in the future. Reasonably close to Alton Towers, and also my relatives live there—also some excellent dog-walking countryside, canals and rivers locally. I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Bleeding Wolf pub in Scholar Green, which accommodated our multi-age, different needs family and dog. A big room and bed for just me. I had a disabled room (I hadn't asked for this but it was convenient and close to reception. The walk in shower did not drain away so the floor was always covered in water. I had a glass or wine which was expensive. When I was at school, Alsager was a pleasant village situated in rolling farmland. The whole place has had a refurb which is a vast improvement maybe just one or 2 minor let downs but , nothing that would not stop us from staying again.
