The hotel is located in a nice old town house, but is very well renovated. Eveything is very clean and weiil maintained. Outside there is a car parking and and very special small garden. The breakfast is basic, but of good quality. On request one can get eggs or crepes. The whole staff is outstanding friendly and helpful.

I am cycling with a friend. We had a secure area to leave our bikes, and Virginia very kindly allowed us an early check-in as we needed to catch a bus to Mont St Michel at 1400hrs. Very well-equipped and clean apartment.

Madeleine is the most wonderful host we have ever had the pleasure to meet in France. Our trip began in Saint-Malo, which is a couple of hours from Pontorson, and she graciously offered to pick us up at the port. This was fantastic! During the drive, we talked about everything - Mont Saint-Michel, Pontorson, and more. She was the best tour guide ever. Once at her home, Madeleine offered us bikes to enhance our experience visiting Mont Saint-Michel, which was amazing. It was just 6-7 miles from her house to Mont Saint-Michel's entrance, and the road was very flat. The next morning, she prepared the most delicious breakfast we've had in France! She was so attentive, and her home is like a peaceful sanctuary. The room, the bed, and the cleanliness were all perfect. We hope to return to Madeleine's place again next year.

Anne-Marie is a delightful hostess. She was friendly and welcoming. She was even kind enough to make a dinner reservation for us at a restaurant she recommended. She tailored breakfast time to our needs and made a lovely meal for us before we went out for the day. Unfortunately we don’t speak French, however Anne-Marie was happy to make use of technology so we could communicate with her and she ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Christine is an absolutely enchanting host. Her welcome and care were fantastic. The house is in an incredibly nice and quiet garden, and the rooms were cosy and spacious. The breakfast was rich and delicious. By car, it is very close to Mont Saint Michel. Great for a longer stay as well.

We were not in the centre of Pontorson but in the...

We were not in the centre of Pontorson but in the countryside about a mile or so towards Mont St Michel. Pontorson had a few places to eat out and we tried a couple and enjoyed them but we found that most opened in the evening for a short time and closed quite early (it was Mid September) which wasn't good if we'd been out for the day and arrived back later. There was a McDonalds as a last resort which we used rather than go without food but we soon learned to find somewhere to eat on the way if we were going to be back late. We can recommend a chain called Del Arte for a nice Italian in Avranches and other places and there is an Indian restaurant (Moonlight) in Dol-de Bretagne where we had a nice meal for a reasonable price. We found most places in Pontorson quite expensive but the food was good. The town was clean and pleasant enough with ample free parking.

In general, the area has many activities.

In general, the area has many activities. I think you want a day for Mont Saint Michel. You can go hiking, horseback riding, helicopter rides, it's like a zoo. It has many things, I think it took 2-3 days to explore the area.

like everybody else you probably stays in Pontorson We came to see the Abbey. And it was close to a train station and only 9 km from Ponte soon to the Abbey. So there’s not a whole lot to see in Pontorson . But the bed-and-breakfast we were in was magnificent

Pontorson is really a cute little town with lots of cafes...

Pontorson is really a cute little town with lots of cafes and restaurants. It is a very convenient place to stay to visit Le Mont St. Michel if not coming with your own car, although the local buses have quite limited schedules for getting there and back. Still, it's quite sufficient for a typical visit to Le Mont.

Pontorson was as a base for our visit Mont St Michel . We took a scheduled bus near the train station to Mont St Michel. Our stay at Pontorson was 3 days 2 nights We train from Paris to Rennes with connecting train from Rennes to Pontorson . When we arrived at Rennes found out our connecting train to Pontorson was cancelled due to the rail strikes. Thanks to SNCF they issued us fresh tickets for a soon to be departing train to Del de Bretagne. SNCF at Del de Bretagne arranged a taxi to take us our B&B, VILLA Mons. Thank you SNCF.

Good location, could cycle to Mont Saint Michel.

Good location, could cycle to Mont Saint Michel. We were surprised that the accommodations is a 16th century, with lots of original fittings, amazing place! Very clean. The landlady Sibylle is very sweet and helpful. Best wishes to her and her lovely young family!

The location was near the train station of Pontorson, which was very confortable and easy to reach. There are many places to eat but "Le Grilon" as well has its own restaurant that you can reserve. The room was small but it had all the necessities, everything was clean and tidy. It's a good option for a few days stay, we stayed there one night during out trip to Mont Saint Michel.

The apartment was clean and conveniently located, not far from the Mont Saint Michel. I could jog every afternoon on a gravel path along the river and see the beautiful view of the mount from a distance.
