    A quiet town with some nice shops (a good Vinotheque, Librairie, Boulangerie) and a nice church, lovely views of hills, a good point to explore Alsace further. I loved Ribeauville which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. At Pairis, just out of Orbey, a wonderful Chocolatier-Patissier called Chez Madei.

    Really lovely hotel! Had all we were looking for after long cycle ride in Hautes Vosges. The room was spacious and nice and cool on arrival (middle of a heat wave), reception was welcoming - a plus was secure place to leave our bikes. The pool was wonderful and also appreciated was supply of dressing gowns to wear to the pool. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. And choice of wine (dinner) was exceptional and very reasonably priced. I hope to come again!

    The hosts were super nice and helpful. Our room was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was prepared with love and included many home-made items. Orbey is a lot less touristy than Kaysersberg and other famous towns and villages in the area. The house has nice balconies and a backyard, where you can relax if the weather is good.

    Beware – complete scam. I booked through Booking.com and was charged three times the actual price listed at the hotel. The owner was completely unhelpful and hard to reach — showed zero interest in resolving the issue. The experience felt deceitful and dishonest from start to finish. Avoid at all costs.
