We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, primarily because of its proximity to la Défense arena, where we were attending a concert. The location was ideal being about 15 minutes easy walk from the venue. The area itself was heavily populated by students and a lot of the eateries were geared towards this clientele. However, we ate in a close by bistro called the marquerite on both nights of our stay and it was good. Gare du nord Paris is very accessible from the nearby train station with just one transfer. An overlooked corner of Paris, a business district with a lot of advantages for staying there. Very quiet in August when everybody is in the summer holiday, free street parking for the hole August. The thing that I most liked about nanterre was it had easy access to the metro rail link, once on the metro and you could be anywhere in paris, it was quiet in the street at night no load music or rowdy crowds of drunks being turned out, the street was clean, there's some pizza restaurants that I used, but to be fair the french was also on their holidays so pretty much dead as far as entertainment was concerned, there's a peoples market in the street almost every day if you like that sort of thing, but when I was there it was very quiet, which I and my wife just love, that's it for nanterreGuest review byEdwina LeeUnited Kingdom
