    Lamballe is a small town, probably not on most people's...

    Lamballe is a small town, probably not on most people's itineraries, but is well worth stopping to savour this fascinating little town: it has a river, church on a spectacular hill, an old market place with a fun thriving market (when I was there). The station is nearby and it is on the line from Dinan and the main Brest Paris line.

    Really pretty medieval town.

    Really pretty medieval town. All very walkable if you are centrally placed. Good market , the `Haras` national studd , museum Mehuet and good bars and restos ( not always open all week, so check) . Not far to Dinan , Dinard and the coast . One can`t pick ones fellow guests though! Ours were rather noisy on their terrasse and filled our room with smoke if we left our windows open . But would recommend the town.

    We stayed in the four person caravan for two nights on our way back to the ferry at St Malo. The property felt very rural and quiet and yet only a 3 minute drive from the pretty town of Lamballe. The wooden caravan was spotlessly clear and very comfortable with a surprisingly good shower! It might be a bit cramped for a longer stay as the indoor living space is small (as you’d expect!!). Lots of fun for a short stay. Excellent continental breakfast. I especially enjoyed the home made Rhubarb jam and yogurt.

    Very helpful member of staff who stayed in the hotel to let us in when we arrived even though we arrived after the last check in time.we arrived with bikes and no problem finding a place to store them.Very accommodating

    Hotel was easy to find, with plenty of free parking nearby. Centrally located, with a very good restaurant next door. Very friendly welcome at reception with good advice given on where to eat and drink.

    The hotel was very clean, it had a great bathroom and a very big comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly especially the manager. Despite the fact that it was close to the road the room was very calm.

    Quiet, with a lovely garden. The owners and staff were friendly and the hotel dog, Ice, is super cute! A half Hour drive to Saint Malo and Cap Erquy for amazing hikes and views.
