We had a very pleasant stay. Quality home made breakfast and dinner with organic and local products. Staff was always friendly and helpful . The owner, Karine, is of great kindness. Bedroom and bathroom decorated with good taste and eco materials in every single detail. Perfect location for visiting Rennes and surroundings. The pool was perfect for relaxing.

A great location for cyclists riding the Voie Verte or a quiet romantic retreat, this cottage is just a short distance from La Magdelaine, one of the picturesque 11 locks of Hédé-Bazouges. It is at the very entrance to a tiny village, adjoining the owner's garden but very private with its own parking, and a secluded terrace area with sun chairs and large dining table and umbrella. The cottage itself is really cool, with lots of natural wood, large windows and a romantic open loft bedroom that can be curtained off for privacy. We were 3 people and used the downstairs folding sofa as well, and it was comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and the bathroom has a fancy modern multi-spray shower. It's all new and clean and well maintained. The hosts are very welcoming and charming, and did a great job of being accessible without intruding. They offer a menu that includes home-made pizzas and other snacks, drinks, and simple foods which we very much enjoyed. They also offer breakfast, but as we were leaving early we didn't try it.

    The chef for our evening meal was terrific. This maybe a good place for functions. I was there with a friend and found the stairs , bedroom passage and bedroom decor not worth the money in fact rather depressing.

    Fantastic little hotel I’ve visited several times. There is always a warm welcome and Virginie is always so friendly and helpful. Had lovely comfortable stay with safe garaging for our bikes. The best part was definitely our evening meal, as always the food was absolutely delicious. Long may Le Veiux Moulin continue, it’s perfect.

    We have stayed here many times over the last 20 years, and have always very comfortable and happy to be back. Dinner is always delicious! We had time to explore Hede more this time and loved walking along the beautiful Onze Ecluses.

    This is a great place to stop and the proprietor is kind and helpful. It's best to think of this as camping as against an hotel. The accommodation is charming and good value for money.
