Location was excellent, right off the old town. There’s two carparks opposite the hotel which are well priced for overnight stays. FYI there is a market held in these carparks on Thursday so there is only on Street parking that day. Everything was very clean. There was a sofa bed set up for our eldest (we had our own cot for our youngest) plenty of room everyone. There were fans in the room incase it was too hot and portable radiators incase it was too cold. The room also has a kettle and fridge which was very useful. Would definitely stay again

I loved everything about this hotel: the safe location next to the castle, close to restaurants and shops, comfy bed and pillows, hot shower, but most especially the amazing service. Doriane was not only helpful in terms of a friendly receptionist; she went above and beyond to help me search and book bus and train tickets, look into my next destination, recommend restaurants and things to see in Dinan and more. Fantastic location, v close to the medieval centre and had lots of parking just outside. The garden was exceptional as it was on top of the city walls with a great view. We had a huge room with a double bed and 2 singles, and had two bathrooms!

We loved Dinan, so many lovely shops and restaurants as well as all the historic sights. We managed to park for free behind the castle, from the market square you go past the castle and take the first turning under a stone arch on the right, there are parking spaces on the left side of the street and a free car park on the right. A good time to find spaces was between 6-7pm. The town itself was great and we really enjoyed just wondering around looking at the shops and stopping at various cafes. Our favourite restaurant was Neo where they did a 3 course set menu for around 30 euros, I would call it fine dining and well worth a try, we ate there twice. There was a great Moroccan restaurant too, in fact we didn't have a bad meal anywhere. We couldn't go into any historical places as our dog was not allowed and beware they are not allowed on the free busses either. We found out the hard way by walking down to the port hoping to get a bus back, its a steep clime. The duration of our break in Dinan was 1 week and there was plenty to do, we would really recommend it.

Great town to visit for a day. Beautiful old streets. Some very nice shops and galleries. Somewhat touristy on a Sunday afternoon, but not overwhelming (nothing like St. Malo, and very few English speakers!). Great dinner at L'entre Nous!

We found Dinan to be a beautifully kept quiet and...

We found Dinan to be a beautifully kept quiet and picturesque area just outside of the main tourist areas of Dinard and St Malo. There is an abundance of things to do and great opportunities to enjoy fine cuisine and an endless supply of magnificent wine and spirits. Road and rail connections are available nearby and its a great base to explore Brittainy. One of the most notable attractions is Mont Saint Michel, an abbey that has stood for more than 1000 years. There are hotels to suit all pockets in easy reach some of which are overlooking the beach. Dinan also has its own small airfield where a warm welcome awaits for Private pilots. It may also be possible to arrange a pleasure flight from where you could enjoy spectacular aerial views of the Norman and Brittainy coastlines.

Dinan is a beautiful and authentically conserved medieval town bursting with character and full of excellent hospitality locations. Well worth a diversion to enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere of la belle France!

The beautiful old houses & the interesting small shops. We had some meals at a restaurant at the bottom of the street,. The mussels there were fantastic as was the cider. Generally the Breton gallettes were very interesting & well worth trying as were the crepes, of course. The port area was very attractive & I loved the surrounding countryside & the tree lined roads.

We only stopped for one night on the way to SW Brittany.

We only stopped for one night on the way to SW Brittany. We should have stayed longer as Dinan looked interesting. On our way out we managed to visit the ancient Abbey of Leon, just outside Dinan, which is definitely worth a visit if you like old architecture and history.

This has to be one of the best small hotels we have stayed at. It is superior to the other 4 places we have stayed on our two week tour of Normandy and Brittany. Everything about Clos du Cèdre says quality. The location is right in the heart of Dinan. Parking is easy. Restaurants, bars and cafes are moments away. Xavier and Anne-Marie are very welcoming and will do everything to ensure you have a relaxing stay. Oh, the breakfast is exceptional too.

Lovely small hotel that has been recently renovated to a high standard. Located in a nice quiet area opposite the train station. Helpful owner who spoke very good English. They have a secure courtyard if you are travelling by bikes (as we were). Just a 12-15 min walk into central Dinan. Recommended!
