    This is a quiet town with good restaurants and interesting things to explore. The small museum was fascinating. Ideal location from which to visit Guédelon - where a team of forty master-builders has taken on the extraordinary challenge of building a castle using the technology and materials of the Middle Ages. La Josephine is a wonderful B&B to stay at.

    This is an incredible place to stay. We were here for three nights and Giles and his wife (the owners) were brilliant. So helpful with everything - from serving breakfast in our room (overlooking the river) to providing ice buckets for our wine. The guest house is beautiful and the garden - with seating overlooking the Loire - is wonderful. The town of Cosne Cours sur Loire (two minute walk) has plenty of bars and restaurants and you're only 15 minutes drive from Sancerre. It's an amazing location and great value.

    The hotel is in a nice old house that is attached to a restaurant. The room was simple but functional and it was good value for money. The hotel is run by a couple who were extremely friendly and helpful. The lady spoke good English while the gent's English was limited, he was very good at communication and we could understand him well even though we didn't share a common language.

    Hotel room was very basic as expected but was comfortable. Reception was very welcoming and helpful. Great parking and fantastic choice of restaurants or supermarket within walking distance. Lovely view of yellow fields through our window. 9

    This is an old fashioned and basic 1 * hotel. However, it was all clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the evening meal to save walking around which was good and generous from a small menu.

    Excellent budget autoroute hotel. Brand new building perfectly appointed for the budget traveller. Very courteous, helpful staff. Good cycle storage for the bike tourer. Good continental breakfast.
