Brantome is an extremely picturesque small town and is a major attraction for tourists, particularly during high season. The varied shops and cafes provide opportunities to browse while the weekly market is a must-see if you are able to visit. The whole town is a network of small streets and bridges to explore with the river, parks and abbey providing photo opportunities at every turn. We went to watch a stage of the Tour de France which coincidentally went right past the terrace on the front of the hotel.
