The rooms and overall design of this small 20-room hotel are simply outstanding. Every detail feels thought-through, perfectly executed, and the ambiance is both luxurious and warm. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making our stay feel truly special. And the breakfast? Easily one of the best we’ve had in a long time. Unfortunately, the highly anticipated 3-Michelin-star restaurant was a letdown. While the staff were lovely and the menu looked very promising, the execution didn’t quite match our expectations. Many dishes, although visually impressive and using modern techniques, lacked depth of flavor. As frequent visitors to Michelin-starred restaurants, this experience felt surprisingly average. It’s hard to say this because the team was clearly trying their best — but this is of course a subjective opinion.

    Orio is a lovely little sea side town.

    Orio is a lovely little sea side town. Not picturesque as such, the beach is the main draw and the town has shops, bars and restaurants enough to make a stay fun. The locals all seemed very friendly and welcoming. In this area few speak Engligh (one attraction for us) but all the shop and restaurant staff were patient while we worked through Google Tranlate or my little phrase book.

    Great experience! We were welcomed in the hotel with a smile, our son received a stuffed animal (lovely!) and our dog was very welcome :) the room was nicely decorated (as the rest of the hotel) and we loved the details; our dog got a dog bed, drinking and eating bowls, we could grab a home made sangria and popcorn in the hotel bar. We will definitely come back when traveling from South Spain to the Netherlands. Also, perfectly located next to the motorway. Very convenient for us. Thank you!

    The view of the beach from the apartment is magnificent, we never get tired of it. The apartment is very nicely decorated, very well equipped and modern kitchen, nothing is missing, very large dressing room perfect for long stays. The village of Orio is very charming. Very close to San Sebastian for a visit to this beautiful city. Easy access to the entire Spanish Basque coast, magnificent.
