What a pleasant surprise!!!
What a pleasant surprise!!! Have spent a lot time in southern Spain and Never made it to the north and it was great. Not overrun with tourists. We only heard English a few times in the streets. It's a lively city, and Outariz onsen was really wonderful! But January is not the best time to go. Ourense has a very relaxing pace. One can visit the many historic places, eat well and enjoy the thermal baths. The people are pleasant and open. Recommendation for restaurants is to book in advance. Or enjoy las calles de los vinos and some pinchos.Guest review byIferaSpain - 8.0
The city is very pleasant.
The city is very pleasant. Since it was August and it was very hot, you don't see anyone out, it's like a ghost town, but arround 9pm the whole city comes to live and the Casco Viejo get's full of people. The city is very walkable.Guest review byfilipePortugal - 10.0

A lovely place especially as it was just before Christmas and the place was lit up. The people were great.Reindeer pulling Santa’s slay was a huge surprise. The apartment is furnished to a high standard but still very homely and comfortable. Very comfy bed and lovely hot , powerful shower . Our balcony overlooked the river and it was set back in a very quiet area. The room was spacious enough and had a jacuzzi bath in the corner. We loved the windows. Everything was shiny clean and we could park right out front. The property offers a light dinner menu which we took advantage of and loved the quiet after a day of exploring.
