Guardamar is a lovely area of Costa blanca 1/2 from airport, it is quiet with very few hotels. Popular with the Spanish . It has beautiful long sandy beaches with some Chiringuitos . Lots of lovely restaurants with great food , prices are really good for food and drinks . It is very clean . In winter, Guardamar is a rather quiete place to stay in.
In winter, Guardamar is a rather quiete place to stay in. There are still enough facilities and restaurants open, but you easily feel this is a place that thrives in summertime. Weekends were rather busy, though. Guardamar is a nice place for strolls on the boulevard or palmtree avenida. Santa Pola and Torrevieja are closeby and Alicante is just 40km-ish away. Stair lift up 5 steps to lift ( not sure if fixed wheelchair users have level access somehow to get up to the lift) Food is great. Chef makes cakes for breakfast to accompany the many choices of hot or cold foods available. Bar area serves nice tapas. Bus stop near for town and the Marina (don't confuse with Le marina which is a town- take the printed map and point for clarity) hotel is right on the sea front.Guest review byjaneUnited Kingdom

The room was well equipped - hallelujah a kettle and a fridge! Great shower and a good hairdryer. Nice comfy bed and enough of a sea view from the reasonable sized balcony. Handy private parking across the road for only 10€ a day. A mistake was made with my final bill which was rectified immediately I contacted the hotel.
