We were only there for a couple of days and had minimal...
We were only there for a couple of days and had minimal expectations as the purpose of my stay was not a holiday. However, Ecija had plenty of amenities, a shopping centre with plenty of variety and plenty of free parking. It appears to be a typical Spanish town with heavy roman influence in terms of architecture, statues, with some preserved 'ruins' in the main square. I wasn't there long enough to give a thorough review as I was not there as a tourist and was not there for long. But the experience was much more pleasant than expected and I have nothing negative to say about the placeGuest review bySeanSpain - 10.0
Écija is a beautiful small city at short distance of Seville...
Écija is a beautiful small city at short distance of Seville and Cordoba. The historic centre is amazing, a true hidden gem and certainly worth a visit. Next time we will choose Écija as "home base" while most historic sights in Andalusia are just a short car drive away and the city itself has preserved very much its autenticity whereas other cities are flooded by tourists. The little village nearby is offering nice evening walk and great local restaurants with decent priced meals.
