Daroca is a fortified medieval town with well preserved architecture and old narrow cobbled streets and pretty squares. It is easy to get around and compact. The Hotel Cienbalcones is a magnificent hotel set in a beautiful town of Daroca and for me an ideal stop on the way to Santander from The Costa Blanca. Cobbled streets , lots of small cafeterias to choose from . Very friendly people . Obliging with directions. And lots of historic buildings with typical Spanish architecture. It's a beautiful Medieval town... Lots of cafes and bars... Supermarket x2... Great place to explore... We ate in the Hotel food was very nice... Service was nice and friendly too... This is a small town with a lot of history in it's buildings
This is a small town with a lot of history in it's buildings It's Walls and up to the Moorish fort are so scenic and offer a lot of walking, it really is a bit lost in time. The part with the restaurant is old with a beautiful garden. Then there is a more modern annex opposite where I stayed. The dinner was good and economical and the breakfast was excellent too. The apartment was scrupulously clean. I especially appreciated the lovely bathroom and fluffy towels.
