Ground floor of a nice old-fashioned house with all amenities. Good location with short walk down to restaurants and 5-10 minutes to the train station. Parking on street nearby depends on school timing and weekends but we had no problem. Recommended

El Celler de la Guàrdia is an amazing 17th century farmhouse stay for those wanting to get out of the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. Located up in the mountains not too far from the Monserrat monastery it has a rustic charm and a tranquil feeling that makes your body and mind instantly relax. The rooms were farmhouse style, wooden floorboards, old style windows with modern amenities that didn’t overtake from that feeling that you were staying in a place from a bygone era. It’s perfect for walks, hiking, relaxing and of course eating as part of the farmhouse has been turned into a small family run restaurant serving traditional and regional foods from the area. The stone arched cellar dining area was breathtaking. Not too far from El Bruc, you can head into town for a meal or if you prefer eat onsite and grab a bottle of wine to take back to your room to indulge in later on in the evening. The team here were polite, friendly and accomodating. A big thank you to Carlotta who was more than happy to give us advice on where to hike, eat in El Bruc and answer any questions we had.

    Collbato is a great base for hiking some of the quieter trails in Montserrat. We hiked to the monastery twice along different routes and got a taxi back. The village itself is very pretty and peaceful, although bear in mind that many of the restaurants may not be open if you visit mid-week outside the peak season. You can also get a bus from Collbato straight to the centre of Barcelona

    Stunning little boutique hotel in a super pictoresque village nestled at the foot of the Montserrat mountains. Staff were laid back and friendly, bit difficult to find but it added to the charm. You could hear the church bell ringing the time which gives it the feeling of being in another era.

    The location of the property is perfect. In the heart of the old and very small town of Collbato. A great jumping off point for hiking in the area. The breakfast was hearty and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and the pool looked lovely (didn’t try it).

    The hotel room was very nice, clean, and had a lovely view. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety to choose from. The only thing missing was a kettle in the room, which would have made the stay even better.
