I was on a business trip in Arrasate-Mondragon with my fellow worker and we stayed in Goiko for almost 2 weeks. We could not have better stay. The host Karmele is incredibly hospitable woman. She made us feel at home. The breakfast prepared by her is deliciosus, made of local food. She was also very helpful with restaurant's recomendations, instructions on how to get to the city and what to see there. The hotel is placed in a small village with beautiful view on mountans. The whole place is very clean (rooms are clean every day). We definitely need to go back to this place but not to work this time :P

Although parking was difficult, I did find a spot within 200 yards and my car was still there in the morning. The town is old world and charming and the hotel is a lovely quaint old building with great features. The town centre shops and bars etc are right there outside the door, I even took advantage of the closeness and had a haircut. The place is well worth a visit but it is not convenient for one night travelling. It's too far from the main road routes.

Situated in the old part of the town but close to the square and the main road, so ideal for sightseeing and exploring the countryside. The hotel is old, but the room was large, as was the bathroom. The owner spoke no English but we understood each other and she was very attentive. Beds were comfortable and we were able to watch BBC news 24. Breakfast was Continental but very enjoyable, especially the omelettes!

    First of all the hotel was a rectangle with rectangular...

    First of all the hotel was a rectangle with rectangular rooms, a rare find in Europe. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. As for the town, we found it very picturesque and charming. Most restaurants don't open until 8:00pm which is common in Spain. My wife's maiden name is Mondragon so we went to the city hall to get find out more about the town. We got the royal treatment from the service manager herself. She gave us maps and talked with us about the history of the town. She then left her office and gave us a personal guided tour with access to the town hall meeting room and cupola. Her service was above and beyond anything that I expected. The very next day was a festival day with a running of bulls though the city. Unfortunately we had a strict itinerary and couldn't stay one more day. Check the calendar of cultural events online before you go so that you don't miss out like we did.

    I stayed for 5 nights here during my cycle adventure in Spain. I can’t recommend this hotel any more highly. Absolutely superb facilities with lovely coffee and patisseries and cake for the guests. The breakfast was very good every morning and the owner Karmele went above and beyond to make me feel welcome in her hotel. I would highly recommend Karmeles hotel and would definitely stay here again. Thank you Karmele for a great break !

    My room was large, clean, tidy, and comfortable and was large enough in which, to store my bicycle. The person who was on reception when I arrived and served me breakfast was helpful and kind and spoke English really well. The breakfast was adequate and kept me satisfied until lunchtime. The hotel is centrally located and easily found. I would return to the hotel again.
