    Our apartment was right on the beach and we walked miles in both directions. Going west you can stroll through the warm shallow sea, or along the beach, or road running parallel. Excellent exercise with frequent bars and cafes along the way. The Old Town was just 30 odd minutes away and is well worth a visit or two to check out its Roman history, walk the ruins, see the old Roman settlement, market on Tuesdays and Sundays, and wine and/or dine in one of the many restaurants. There are plenty of supermarkets for those who self cater.

    If you like the small streets and traditional Spanish...

    If you like the small streets and traditional Spanish building you will like Alcudia. There are a good selection of restaurants, bars and tourist shops. The main area of the old town has a good range of bars and restaurants which tends to keep prices competitive. If you are looking for a bit more value in common with most tourist areas moving a little outside of the main area becomes more affordable. Our visit was late September and to most bars and restaurants close between 10 and 11pm. Alcanada is close, with golf course as is the beach area of Port de Alcudia.

    The region and the city was amazing, with a lot of shops and options to dine. While getting there was easy, getting out of there to the airport was a hassle and ultimately made us lose our return plane home. This is due to the fact that the Airport buses got full right from the beginning, at Can Picafort, and upon reaching Alcudia, drivers no longer picked passengers up. The buses to the Airport there are hourly, so make sure to either go to the Can Picafort bus terminal to catch your bus, or come extremely early in the station to have a chance at caching a bus to the airport.

    I have travelled to Alcudia multiple times and have always really enjoyed it. The beaches along the north of Mallorca are all wonderful and all easily accesible from Alcudia. There is plenty to do at night but it somehow avoids attracting the noisier crowds that the south of Mallorca does.

    Good place to stay for both beach and nature. Interesting old town - but might not want to take the bus there on market day, would likely be full by the time it gets to the nearby bus stop. But taxis were worth using - 5 people to Pollenca was cheaper by Taxi than bus. May need to research travel options to some places - such as Soller. 5 of us got to Soller by taxi - but only taxis for 4 available there, even then we failed to get one. So bus to Palma to get back across the Island back to Alcudia (even then couldn't find a 5 person taxi in Palma).

    Beautiful little boutique hotel right in the centre of the old walled town of Alcudia. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, as was the rest of this small hotel. Our room (top floor) had a huge bed and big bathroom; the two rooms on first floor have smaller bed, but a patio. There is a sweet courtyard garden for drinks and meals. As it was November, the reception desk was only open until 2pm but any concerns were quickly met by calling the owner. The perfect hotel for 4 couples or a few friends if you want to be central.

    The staff is super friendly and is doing everything to ensure you have the perfecto stay The breakfast is small but there is something for everyone and they would also provide any special requests if needed - also they have homemade specialities (spanish tortilla, Guacamole, ...) changing daily The Hotel itself is very pretty and the interior is modern but still fitting petfectly to the overall esthetics in whole Alcudia It's right next to the main street and still quiet Definately recommend staying here!!!

    We were a couple travelling together, stayed there 3 nights. The hôtel is very cosy, family business run and centrally located in charming center of Alcudia. The hosts are very gentle, attentive to their guests and give local advice. Breakfast was also very diversified, enriched with fresh orange juice, strawberries from the market and home made cakes. Definitively recommend this place for its confort and familal welcoming atmosphere :).

    The hotel is very tastefully decorated marrying local stone and glass and has an exceptional relaxation spot next to the Roman-style water bassine that adds to the exceptionally calm atmosphere that this place conveys! A true hidden gem in the health of Alcùdia! The hotel also offers massage services in a unique location like inside a cave, which is totally worth it after a very hot day visiting the surroundings!
