We had an amazing stay at Ruta de los volcanes. The rooms were clean and with hot water. The location is perfect for the Cotopaxi National Park. Darwin was such a wonderful host. He helped us planning our hike in the park and even helped us with our planning for the next days in Ecuador. Even though one night we were the only guests, the fireplace was lit for us and we got the best meal we had eaten in weeks.

Large room clean and quiet. The Dining room has a large fireplace and comfortable chairs. The food is delicious. There are walks around the farm and horse riding. Great views of the volcanos. The owners could not have been more welcoming and hospitable.

We liked everything about Chilcabamba, from the initial communication to check-out. Jessica got in touch right away to facilitate the activities / transportation we needed. After transportation from Quito, we were greeted with a complimentary traditional hot drink. The rooms were spotless. There was only one other family when we stayed, and our kids loved playing together in the main lounge area. The food was excellent. The grounds include a 20 minute path through the beautiful grasslands to a trout pond. It was peaceful and beautiful.

Loved everything, such a peaceful environment with gorgeous grounds & all the amenities you could want. Don't miss out on this amazing stay near Cotopaxi! Ideal location to start summit to Iliniza Norte or Sur, or just do hiking. Frank, the landlord, is a nice and helpful guy who can rent climbing gear for very affordable prices and provide any sort of advice and sort your problems. Recommend Iliniza Wasi for hikers and climbers.
