We chose Ringsted because all hotels in a 50 km radius of...
We chose Ringsted because all hotels in a 50 km radius of Roskill were fully booked or too expensive.. Also to catch the train to Hamburg. The town seems to have little to offer the tourist except perhaps the amazing 12th century Romanesque cathedral, which was rebuilt in the early 1900s in the 14th century Italian style.Guest review byjohnNetherlands

Only stayed one night while visiting Roskilde, as we changed trains there and left our bags in the station lockers. Lovely, friendly staff, decent breakfast at reasonable price. Basic room, en suite, with cramped bunk beds, but this is a hostel, not a hotel room. Linen / towel was included (even though confirmation email said it would be at an additional cost). Our bedding packs had been placed in our room as we had advised the reception we would be a late check in. The room was a family room upstairs,with a private bathroom, everywhere was immaculately clean and well looked after.
