Historical, yet modern.
Historical, yet modern. There is opportunity to experience close to nature. The UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea Visitor Centre Wilhelmshaven is a great interactive exhibition for young and old with lots of interesting information and a fun way to learn new things. A very nice, well-ordered town with excellent public transport. Wilhelmshaven was largely rebuilt after WWII, but plenty of older buildings survive. Its history is fascinating and is well-depicted in the excellent Küstenmuseum (Coastal Museum, Weserstraße 58). Upon arriving I got a bundle of keys handed to me which I could use for all the doors so I could come and go however I wanted. I got showed around by one the employees and everything was really well maintained.
