Triberg is a very odd place.
Triberg is a very odd place. Once you've seen a few cuckoo clocks, they really aren't that interesting. Who is buying them?! Unfortunately the shops open late in the morning and close very early in the evening, so not too much to see in the evening. The hotel has restored an old and rustic charm which takes you back to old days. It has a beautiful dining area and the breakfast was good. The hotel also is a part of the famous cafe which serves the best Black forest cake. We were happy we didn't have to go around looking for it in the town. The hotel is very close to all the main attractions. The Triberg falls is within walking distance and all the tourist attractions are nearby. There is a car park in the street right in front of the property. Host was very professional, helpful, and kind. Very clear Check-in instructions were shared 3 days before the arrival. Good advice was given for parking as well as popular tourist attractions. Host can also provide discounted tourist cards for entrance into waterfalls and multiple museums in Triberg. Although we drove to Germany, the apartment is located in Triberg town so we also walked a lot. Great for hiking and also again a 10 min walk to Triberg waterfall.
