Sasbachwalden is a beautiful village in the foothills of the Black Forest. It is nestled in the middle of some of the finest vineyards of the Rhine Valley and is the home of the renowned Vintner's Coopérative, Winzergenossenschaft Alder Gott. The wines are pricey, but well worth the trip. Visitors should not miss the hike up the " Gaishölle" waterfalls (there is also the option to take a public bus to the top of the falls and hike down. Coming out at the top, hikers are rewarded with a bteathtaking panorama of the Rhine Valley and, depending on the time of day, gorgeous sunset over the Vosges mountains of France on the other side. A beautiful village surrounded by hills and vineyards. Great for hiking. There are many drinks stations with wine, beer, schnapps and soft drinks along the walking routes Lovely restaurants in the village. Close to walking trails, very quiet, clean, private, beautifully decorated, fully stocked with amenities. Close to town with plenty of places to eat and grocery stores nearby. This place is surrounded by the beauty of the Black Forest actually sitting at the edge of it. Many trails right outside your door. For good food I would highly recommend NU-PEL Restaurant.
