It is a good spot between Dresden and Meißen.
It is a good spot between Dresden and Meißen. You can get by train to both of them or even to the Sachsische Sweiz (Bad Schandau etc.). Also the Moritzburg castle and its forests is reachable by a steam train (it is worse with buses, better to use car otherwise). There are vineyards everywhere and many small castles or big villas. We were very tired and stressed after a hard day, and by mistake I booked the wrong room, where we were supposed to sleep in a bag on the hay. I understand that some people like this, but not in our case. The owner was very stubborn and asked us to pay triple for another room. You are in the middle of all the caffès, restaurants and little shops. Even with the very high temperature outside the flat stayed cool. You will find in the apartament everything what you need and more. The kitchenette was very nice, so was the fridge. The bathroom contained a bathtub which I found particularly relaxing since I travelled quite a distance and there is nothing better to relax than in a bathtub.
