The hotel is beautiful and the staff incredibly accommodating to myself and my elderly mother. The staff on duty during our stay could not have done more to assist us. They are a credit to the hotel.

the location is perfect, close to the main train station in Potsdam or tram stations. The room was tidy and clean, the bed very comfortable. They offer an amazing breakfast with plenty of options. They have a place to leave your luggage and a nice lobby were you can work.

The hotel has a great location for sightseeing. A huge advantage is the parking. Rooms are sound proof and it really keeps the B&B chain standards. There are vending machines with snacks and drinks in the lobby. Breakfast was tasty and the food was added according to the growing number of people coming. The staff was very nice.

It is a fantastic, intimate hotel with a pleasant atmosphere. The building is beautiful, situated in a picturesque and quiet Dutch quarter of Potsdam. It was beyond my imagination how nice, efficient, and courteous the staff was. I had a great room with a cozy living room and a balcony overlooking the neighborhood. In a nutshell: a pleasure. The Glory of Kings and Kaisers

Potsdam holds a pivotal place in German history. The country’s largest UNESCO World Heritage Site – Park Sanssouci – stands testament to the wealth of the kings and kaisers who once held court there. Yellow Sanssouci Palace is somewhat overshadowed by stepped gardens leading up to it from a fountain. A long path leads off at a right angle to the red-coloured New Palace, adorned with statues and a green dome.

Nestled in the intermediate grounds are the Italianate Roman Baths and Orangery, and understated Charlottenhof Palace. Trees hide the botanical gardens, while the gaudy gold Chinese tea house is unmissable. The park even has a grand train station and Dutch-style windmill.

Red gabled houses line the Dutch Quarter, and wooden houses characterise the Russian colony Alexandrowka. One of the city Christmas markets is in Weberviertel amid former homes of Bohemian weavers. Nearby, Filmpark Babelsberg is the world’s oldest film studio and Babelsberg Palace was a royal summer retreat.

In the New Garden by 2 of the city’s many lakes is half-timbered Cecilienhof Palace, where the historic, post-war conference between Churchill, Truman and Stalin led to the Potsdam Agreement and Declaration which shaped the face of Europe.

    Close enough to Berlin for a short journey into the city, so ideal to base yourself there and take the train into Berlin central. Plenty of cultural places to visit in this historical town/suburb of Berlin. Good choice of restaurants, although I was confused as to why so many close 21:00 weekdays.

    A clean and attractive city, with lots to see and a very pleasant ambience. Outside of the obvious attractions like the Sanssouci Palace, there are hidden gems dotted within a 20 minute walk out of the centre. There are myriad places to eat and the transport options are excellent. It is also a great base from which to explore Berlin. It is worth buying a "Berlin Welcome Card" in advance of the trip as this gets rid of wasting time with individual transport tickets as well as providing discounts on attractions.

    Potsdam is an ideal location for a stay. It;s close to Berlin with excellent public transport links but also a great place in its own right, with plenty of historical and contemporary places of interest to visit. I would always choost to stay in Potsdan for any future visit to this part of Germany.

    Sanssouci Palace is wonderful, but quite a few bits of it...

    Sanssouci Palace is wonderful, but quite a few bits of it are closed for renovation. If you can ride a bike, do so as the estate is very extensive. The Barberini art gallery is excellent, as is the Filmmuseum if you are into German film. Two days was just right for me to get a feel of the place before moving on to the glories of Berlin.

    We were there to visit family in Golm, and have been to...

    We were there to visit family in Golm, and have been to Potsdam a few times. We used the train, buses, and tram; it was very easy to get around. We have been to Schloss Sansouci, which is beautiful. We also walked through a shopping district and the Dutch Quarter, and we went to the Biosphere which was very interesting.

    Lots to do in Potsdam. Worth more than a day trip. Sanssouci Park, Potsdam Museum, WWII history, Brandenberg Strasse. The Tourist info has a great app which covers the town and history with downloadable commentary. They have gone to a great deal of effort. We are glad we stayed 4 days and could have stayed longer.

    Really nice place to stay at. The room vas tidy, comfortable and overall very pleasant. Very nice location, 2 min walk from the Potsdam Brandenburg gate and a bus stop. The bed had a nice elevation higher from the ground, thanks to a big mattress, which was very nice and will serve well to people who might have back problems. Everything necessary was provided within the hotel room with plenty of towels. The staff were also friendly and the breakfast was also good, with a large variety of desserts.

    The location is about a 15 minute walk from the main train station, but easy to get a tram to the centre. The price is OK for Potsdam and the rooms are comfortable and clean. But this is a very standard hotel that caters for coach trips.
