The facilities are top notch, but what stands out is the staff. Universally friendly and going out of their way to be helpful. The button for the large flush in our room was hanging a little, so we told reception. First response was an offer for another room. We simply suggested that they had a look at it and next morning the maintenance guy changed the whole flush plate and all was in order. The staff in the lobby bar also went out of their way to provide us with precisely what we wanted. The hotel is placed at the bottom of the Flensburg harbour and the main shopping street is half a block away. Great restaurants in the neighborhood, and the hotel breakfast was excellent. We will certainly be back.

Quiet and good location just a few km from the autobahn A7. Very good parking facilities at the hotel. The staff was very nice and service-minded - not everyone spoke English but did their best to understand. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was fantastic. We will be happy to return to this hotel when we go south again.

Friendly staff, nice room, great food in restaurant. We stayed only one night on our way to Denmark. It was a lovely pitstop, and if we ever come back we might book multiple nights. The room was modernized. Comfortable beds. The bathroom was dated, but very clean.

Flensburg is a beautiful and charming town, and Central Hotel is perfectly located – very close to the main bus station and right at the beginning of the main street. There are plenty of transportation options nearby, from buses to e-scooters. The room was excellent, clean, and well-equipped, and it seems the hotel is developing and upgrading. Everything worked perfectly, and the overall condition was new and fresh. The highlight for me was the strong shower stream – exactly what I needed after a 4-hour train journey. The provided amenities (toothbrush, shaving kit, and grooming set) were also very convenient. Breakfast was wonderful, not crowded, with two buffet lines so you could always get more without waiting. Cleanliness was outstanding, both in the room and the dining area. I also appreciated the option to leave my luggage after checkout and enjoy exploring the town freely. Overall, a great experience – thank you for the amazing hospitality!

    A nice and fine place to have a good sleep and breakfast during your trips on the road where even your dog is very welcome! The staff is top, the bed is simply one of the best we ever had, the bathroom is perfect, and your breakfast is brought to the room. You will enjoy your stay !

    We were driving to Southern Germany from Northern Denmark...

    We were driving to Southern Germany from Northern Denmark and needed a place near the motorway for an overnight stop. We arrived at midnight, found the keys in the secure location the hotel had described, let ourselves in and went to bed. We had a very quiet night, woke early, received our breakfasts in our rooms, checked out and got back on the road

    We love this hotel! The family who run it make you feel special and are very welcoming. Beautiful rooms where we had everything we needed and even more. Comfy beds and bedlinen. Really enjoyed our pizzas and breakfast was amazing and brought to our room. Our absolute favourite hotel on our long journey from Spain to Sweden. We travelled with two cats and they enjoyed their stay too!

    The staff was so sweet and all the small details was amazing. We had our dogs and child with us and it was the sweetest creating for them and it made us all feel welcome. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at for a family with both children and animals!

    The Hotel is undergoing a renovation process, but on the inside that is not visible, excellent value for money, room clean and comfortable. Room service was provided for breakfast and (in our case) dinner.
