    I did not enter any of the castles or museums.

    I did not enter any of the castles or museums. I had done that 50 years ago, as a student in Munich. I liked just walking around, soaking up the tourist vibe, predominantly Chinese. I even liked the rainy-sunny mix of weather, so characteristic of the Allgaue region.

    The village is a prime example of a "tourist village".

    The village is a prime example of a "tourist village". Everything closes very early on, you see almost no locals, only hotels and restaurants. In spite of that, it still gives you a nice german feeling and experience, and the whole area is super clean, secure and just dreamy. I suggest everyone to take a bycicle or walk to get around, and try the Schlossbrau restaurant.

    I liked the walk ability to the castles.

    I liked the walk ability to the castles. The tours were just okay- guides to both castles did not speak great English (on the English tour) so it was difficult to get much out of the tours…. But the area is beautiful and you can swim in the lake!

    Central location convenient for visiting the two castles.

    Central location convenient for visiting the two castles. There is nothing there apart from a series of hotels and a few restaurants. Even so, much more conventient than staying further out and paying for parking etc. For more amenties and activities apart form the castles try Fussen, 15 minutes away

    This city is amazing and the people are so nice.

    This city is amazing and the people are so nice. I had all good experiences during my stay in the area. The Castle Hohenschwangau is worth a visit as well. Most people just go to Neuschwanstein, but please visit the Hohenschwangau Castle as well. Do not eat at the Hotel Muller Bistro quick snack place. The Jumbo hot dog was terrible, and I had an ache in my stomach the rest of the day. Eat at one of the sit down restaurants!

    Woman from reception was completely stressed out wich is...

    Woman from reception was completely stressed out wich is unpleasant if you have just traveled so we didn't feel very welcome when checking in. After 17:00 not possible to eat anything. Bad WIFI and breakfast ( no fruit) that was not what you expect fir this price. Rooms did not have insulated walls. Perfect distance from the Neuschwanstein castle ( only 200 meters)

    We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Garni Schlossblick. Perfect location to be able to explore the castles and our room even had a little balcony with a small view of the castle. It was comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast had a wonderful array of options and was very yummy. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

    We were very happy to be again in the hotel and enjoyed the room, the restaurant and the breakfast with sausages, smoked salmon, even mackerel and all the other. It's very romantic to sit in the restaurant at the window with view on the castle. For that experience we hope to come back.

    The location of the hotel is perfect. It takes about 25 minutes to walk up to Neuschwanstein Castle from the hotel. We also enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant. Our room was on the top floor, which had a view of the castle as well!

    I love the fact we walked to both castles from the hotel! And the breakfast options were great, the spa was small but great and never crowded. We also had massages which was lovely! A very romantic time at the Villa!
