Greding: The Perfect Stopover for Travelers (and Their Pups!) Greding has become our go-to one-night stopover whenever we’re heading south to Rome or back north to Copenhagen. Nestled conveniently along the A9, it’s the perfect place to pause and stretch your legs – and for us, it’s especially ideal because we often travel with our two Golden Retrievers. After a long day in the car, Greding’s open spaces and picturesque surroundings are just what they need to unwind and run free. This charming little Bavarian town has a lot to offer, even for a short stay. The beauty of Greding is that you can see the entire town in a single afternoon. Take a stroll along the cozy little creek, or wander through the lovely old town, admiring the pretty church with its rare ossuary – a fascinating stop for history buffs. The town’s architecture and general ambiance are picturesque year-round, with that classic Bavarian charm we adore. And of course, there are a few nice restaurants where you can enjoy a hearty meal before continuing your journey. Whether it's summer or winter, Greding offers a peaceful and scenic stopover – one that’s as enjoyable for us as it is for our furry companions.
