The Bitburger Brewery is the main attraction in Bitburg and it's a great tour. You need to tell them in advance if you want an English tour but if you know a bit of German then it's fine! You get some drinks vouchers for the bar at the end and also to use in local pubs - just tell them that's what you plan to do when you arrive. After the tour we had some Birburgers in the Bitburger Bierhaus and also some food - nothing gourmet but definitely enough to fill you up! We also played golf at Bitburger Land Golf Course - nice clubhouse although the course was a bit wet in April - in a few weeks it should be great, just very hilly!Guest review byChrisAustria - 8.0

Lovely small town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Great place for a base to travel around he local area Bitburg Brewery and brewery hotel are definitely worth a visit, really lovely We travelled to Vianden, Luxemburg which was only 25-30 minutes away it a gorgeous town, walked up to the Castle then down on the chairlift, lovely lunch by the riverGuest review byJax1064United Kingdom

The doors were locked and there were covers on the windows with a notice saying ‘being renovated’. There was no answer from the intercom, telephone or the messaging service so as it was late in the day we had to book anther hotel. They responded to my message at 7.30pm with a key code which was too late. It was really easy to get the key when we arrived. Our two dogs settled in very quickly.
