It is a town with an industrial atmosphere, cut in two halves with a frequented motorway. Lots of old delapidated factory buildings. There are some nice places, like the main squares of Frýdek and Místek or the park by the river Ostravice, but the general feeling is not very inspiring. The best thing is the short distance to the beautiful Beskydy mountains, which are easily accessible by bus, train or car. The hotel is only 2 minute walking distance away, excellent location. The town square is sleepy but charming. The breakfast at the hotel was included in the rate.
