Staff are friendly here. I left for airport at 3:00 AM. They prepared fruit and coffee as breakfast for me. They also kindly help me receive packages. Also, the room is very huge. Food is also great in the restaurant of the hotel.

This little hotel is a complete gem. It is exactly as in the pictures .Wonderful first night in CR. A traditional building with lovely veranda under the trees. It is 600m (yes 600m) from the AVIS car rental office at airport but not under flight path so minimal noise. The garden is so beautiful, the rooms, restaurant and pool are simple but ample and clean. Staff helpful. Good directions for getting west/north . Already booked to return.

I liked the ambient, the nature that was surrunded by the trees and all the good stuff, staff was great, it was expensive, good souna and good breakfast, they were very nice with my pet so that was a plus.

The property is close to the airport and San José, however already very quiet and surrounded by pure nature. The host are very lovely. They really take care about you, even before you arrive with very good recommendations. The rooms are very nice, clean and have a wonderful view into nature. The breakfast was very good. It was served at the hotel room. We enjoyed it sitting in the terrace

The hotel is amazing. I love the views from the room, the warm pool and the walks thew the trails to the hotel waterfall. The breakfast is very natural, there is a buffet and u can also order local dishes. I stay in Xandari every time i go to Costa Rica. The massage service in the Spa is very healing.

San Antonio itself is a great base to travel from, it is close to Airport and to Car rentals, there are Supermarkets nearby also if self catering, however it is a little too far from other central attentions if your intension is to stay in San Jose itself.

Cute little town near the airport.

Cute little town near the airport. Probably not a destination, but, if you have a night to kill before flying out, it's fine. Otherwise, there isn't anything I know of to draw visitors. Couple cute restaurants on the main street. Felt safe walking around after dark.

We did more in San Antonio than we expected to do.

We did more in San Antonio than we expected to do. The church in the center of town was welcoming, and there are a lot of restaurants with good food and service. The bussing to other areas (San Jose and Heredia) is well marked and has an appropriate schedule. Plus, the area felt safe to walk after sunset. Because of its convivence, we extended our hotel stay to stay in the area, and only bussed to San Jose for the day.

For us La Rivera is a take off and arrival point, so the easy airport access is important. It is an easy walk to a phone store or Pali supermarket for some basics, and the local pista, church and park give you a safe introduction to Costa Rica. There is not much else to do in the immediate area.

This hotel was a gem! The photos did not do it justice. We booked it for our last night in Costa Rica and enjoyed it greatly. The surroundings and decor were tasteful. My husband also enjoyed a dip in the pool. A big thank you to the staff members as they were exceptionally nice and helpful - I don't like coriander and the staff members did everything to make sure I would have no coriander in my food. If we go back to Costa Rica we will book a longer stay in this hotel as they also organise wildlife trips.

The hotel is very convenient for San José. On arrival at the airport the routine is to send a WhatsApp message (they will already have made contact on WhatsApp) and they will send the hotel minibus out within a few minutes. It’s about a 15 minute drive so there will be a short wait. But this operates at any time of day or night. There also a very good pizza restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel is clean and comfortable and set in lush gardens.

The gardens at the hotel are beautiful and very peaceful. The hotel staff are very friendly. You can tell the hotel is well cared for. The only disappointment was the noise of the planes taking off so close to the hotel. We did not know this when we booked.
