Amazing staff, great location. Attached is a really good restaurant. I even got a better room than I had booked (quieter) for no extra charge. They have parking onsite. Close to everything in town and Poas National Park. Even if only for one night, I would skip the city of San Jose/Alajuela and come here instead!

Charming two level cabin in a remote location, but convenient for an early morning visit to Poás Volcano. We were just 2 people but the cabin has sleeping for at least 10 people as well as a kitchen with hob, fridge freezer and wood fireplace, plus WiFi. The views are spectacular! Lots of blankets which came in handy as this was the coldest area we stayed in CR! Host was lovely and was waiting for us to guide us on where to park as waze was going to take us further down the track! Make sure you let her know your arrival time.

We were very happy to stay at this lovely small hotel with a beautiful garden and friendly hosts 🌸 The spacious, well-kept garden is wonderful, with funny rabbits freely hopping around🥰 Everything is very clean, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. The large and very comfortsble rooms. The great hospitality. We vane late in the evening and kitchen was close, however the chef fixed two very tasty soups and a glass of wine and a beer and came to our with it. Breakfast was fantastic.

We started our vacation at Hotel Mango Valley and everything was great! The view from the balcony was amazing, the garden area with pool really nice and the breakfast was good, too :) It was located a little outside of our route but definitely worth it.

Interesting place, a perfect point to start a visit to the Volcano Poás, outstanding view from the room, very kind and helpful staff and very good food in the restaurant. Good prices. Little complaint: it was quite cold inside during the night.

    We stayed at the Altura Hotel. It was amazing beyond words! Can not say enough about this place. We stayed in a 'dome/yurt' and it was beautiful, well appointed and excellent in every sense of the word. Breakfast was included and it was such a treat!

    This was a beautiful property.

    This was a beautiful property. We enjoyed the foliage and flowers and all the little sitting areas. The room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we required. The only thing that could be improved upon is to have a breakfast selection. It was the same thing every morning.

    A great little hotel in a good location for visiting Volcano Poas and La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Parking in front of the property is a bonus. My room was large and had good heating. The hummingbird feeders around the property are well used, and it's lovely to watch the birds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached was open long hours and served a wide range of food and drinks

    We were particularly pleased by the warm welcome of the staff. They were extremely helpful and took the time to give us advice regarding the rest of our trip. The dinner was excellent and the breakfast was very good. We highly recommend this hotel for people who want to visit Poás volcano since it is nearby.

    Charming hotel way out by some fields near Poasito. The views are superb and you feel like you are on a farm. There are cows nearby, a donkey, two shaggy dogs, and at least one cat. The staff are helpful and a nice breakfast is included.

    The hotel staff was very friendly, relaxed and we felt welcome there. In the garden you can watch humming birds drinking and flying by. The food the restaurant and breakfast were good. You can also book coffee tours there.
