I go there to do dental work at Crystal Dental, as their prices are 2-3 times cheaper than in the USA and the quality is better, they speak English and have German equipment. I do not care about touristy stuff, I did it on my first visit many years ago. You can take buses for daytrips. Tours with agencies are very expensive and geared for young athletic people. During the last Costa Rican rainy season, the beach was ravaged by strong storms. a large portion of sand was washed away leaving exposed rock over much of the beach. My photos reveal that about four feet of sand was washed away. Good value at Beach Break Resort Oceanfront room. Good lunch special at the Japanese Restaraunt next to the bus station. Jaco by itself is a nice place for vacationing.
Jaco by itself is a nice place for vacationing. The beach is good and a lot of beaches nearby. Its proximity to Manuel Antonio and other places in the north are a big plus. The downtown is buzzing with lot of restaurants and ice cream shops. We walked along the downtown in the evening.Guest review byAnandUnited States

The onsite pool is a fair size with plenty of seating and security guard to let you back in from the beach. One bedroom has an enormous comfortable bed. Great to have washing machine and dryer.
